I really don’t see it, even if it’s right smack in my face
They’re rolling up sleeves, yeah
Committed to it, yeah yeah all the way…
Focused in… call your friends… in the biz, what it is, I know it
Is your heart really feeling this?
What name it’s connected with?
You make money off of giving it away
How much is it sinking in?
I really don’t see it, tell me ‘bout the forest for the trees
I do not believe it, I know it but I won’t-won’t look away…
Fence it in… call your friends… what it is, what it is, I know it
On what plane does your soul exist?
What brain are you thinking with?
You make money off of giving it away
It’s as high as you think it is
I’m still remembering the first time
When I felt like the ship took flight
I was the goddamn captain that night
Now it all seems so small and trite
When did the game change?
Is your heart really feeling this?
What name it’s connected with?
You make money off of giving it away
It’s as high as you think it is
In a time before there were many female-fronted bands there was Cruiserweight from Austin, Texas. Their singer, Stella Maxwell, was dynamite live. Unfortunately, this defunct band's best album "Sweet Weaponry" isn't available here and was never on vinyl in the CD-only era, circa 2005, but you can find a used CD on ebay perhaps for pennies. Sizzling performance video:
